Labor Day 2013

I love September and fall time! I think I especially love it this year because as my lovely husband reminded me the other morning, its fall and this winter we are going to have a baby. We had a great Labor day here in Utah, our friends Anton and Natalie came out to spend the long weekend with us. Despite a preggo lady and a bunk knee on Natalie we managed to get quite a few activities in. We went up to Oktoberfest at Snowbird, dinner in Park City, a leisure hike and golfed nine holes. It was also the closing weekend of our pool so some time was spent there as well. All in all a great weekend. The other exciting event that happened over labor day was Brendan's cousin Andrew got engaged to his wonderful girlfriend Erika. We were so excited for both of them and it also was the 5 year Anniversary since we had gotten engaged in Michigan. Can't wait for their wedding in 2014!

The days are getting shorter and reminding me that snow will be upon us soon. I am bummed I won't be able to ride the early season but hopefully after Baby White joins the world I will be able to get some  spring days in. We have been nesting and getting the soon to be baby nursery all ready to go. Since it is a boy we went with a gray/blue color and a darker green accent wall. We are doing an antique, adventure is out there type nursery with maybe some globes, planes, etc. I am thinking about doing a Scandinavian blue as a pop accent color too. I have been feeling great and just enjoying watching my tummy pop out. Brendan and I have been joking that we will rename this pregnancy tour de cereal since that is my one and only craving and every week I seem to sample a new cereal, this week it is cookie crisp. Not a terrible craving to have since I limit myself to only one small bowl a day. We are great and can't wait to see what this fall continues to bring us!

Love,
Alyssa and Brendan White
