Team Pink or Team Blue?

Prior to us leaving for the wedding in Montana we went and had an ultrasound done to see if we could figure out what Baby White was going to be. We were excited to find out and be able to share this in person with all the wonderful family we saw in Montana. After seeing all the fun gender reveal party ideas on Pinterest we knew we wanted to tell our friends in Utah in a special way. So we combined both Brendan's birthday party with a gender reveal party. As the actual reveal we had chocolate and vanilla cupcakes filled with the color frosting of what we are having. A BABY BOY!!!!!!

 We are absolutely elated and over the moon that we are having a baby boy!!!! The ultrasound went great and they are 95% sure it is a boy. We were only 15 weeks along and have another ultrasound in a few more weeks just to confirm. It will be the first Grandson for both the White family and the Toor family. He will be the 6th grandson and complete the Hockey team for the Brecke family.

Montana Vacation 2013

I have been a little behind in keeping the blog up to date. Over the last few weeks it seems like life just hasn't slowed up one bit. July kept us pretty busy with lots of road biking, pool time and enjoying summer. At the end of the month we had our cousins from Ireland Karen and Kevin come stay with us for a few days. Brendan took them out on mountain bikes and had a great time.

On August 1st we all loaded up in the car and drove to Great Falls, Montana for Tommy and Brandy's wedding. It was a lovely weekend between the rehearsal dinner and the wedding on Saturday. Its crazy to think how fast time has gone when it seems like they just got engaged in January. It was so much fun to see lots of relatives and spend time with everyone in Montana.

After the wedding festivities we all loaded up in the car again and drove to Glacier National Park. We had lunch at a gorgeous swiss chalet and then drove Road to the Sun to get to our hotel. It is a pretty spectacular drive that is only open certain times of the year because of snow. Huge mountains, lots of greenery and gorgeous lakes. It reminded both Brendan and I of Switzerland. We had a great time at the hotel we stayed at and got to spend a lot of time with White side of the family.

Our favorite day during the vacation was on Tuesday when we drove to Flathead lake. We had a guided kayak trip and got to swim in the lake. Since it is glacier run off it is incredibly clear and you can see almost 30 feet down. After kayaking we had lunch at Tamarack Brewery and Brendan tried their enormous beer flight. Following this we went and checked out a whiskey distillery that was also nice. Pretty good day for Brendan with his sober, pregnant wife driving.

When we got home here to Utah we celebrated Brendan's 31st birthday with a nice steak dinner and home made chocolate lava cakes. Then on Saturday night we had a combined gender reveal party (post coming soon) and Brendan's birthday party with a small group of friends, it was a great time. The summer should end on a high note as well as Brendan's best friend Anton and Natalie come to town for Labor day weekend. We can't wait!
