Where 2010 has taken us

Wow, what a roller coaster year! Started in Whitmore Lake, Michigan and has concluded in Park City, Utah. We have been blessed though and after this year I feel as if I have quit praying for things to be the way I imagine and instead find myself praying for acceptance of what is to be.
Brendan started the year working at Enmark and studying for the GMAT. It has been a goal of his for a long time to get an MBA and after watching Tommy his brother working towards it we decided it was a realistic goal. He studied a lot and seemed to be endlessly working whether it was work, applications, essays or more studying. It all paid off though when he got into University of St. Thomas, University of Portland and University of Utah. After a lot of heart wrenching discussions we decided on University of Utah. I was heartbroken and cried thinking I would hate Utah. The first time I visited here was during an inversion (pollution effect that does not allow you to see any landscape) and I told him it would be a cold day in hell before I moved there. Well, hell must have been having a cold snap because once again for the third springtime in a row I was packing our lives up again.
In the meantime I was able to substitute at schools and teach dance. This was great because I was able to get organized and planned out for another cross country move.
Funny how life always seems to work out. My cousin Dawne told me about a job opening as a PRC (Professional Relations Coordinator) for an affiliate TLC center in Ogden. I sent my resume along and did what I do best sold myself to them until they agreed to interview me. By the summertime a date was set and I took the risk and flew out for two days of interviews. By July 8th I was offered at job as a Business Consultant (same thing as PRC) at Mount Ogden Eye Center. One week later I was driving down to Utah to start my new job.
So here we are in December, one semester of school under Brendan's belt. He loved school and got involved with the Utah Avalanche committee's board of advisers and competed in a Northface marketing competition as well. I love my job, my coworkers and everything in Utah. Surprisingly, out of all the places we have lived in the last few years I have been the least homesick here. So I guess you never know where Life will bring you but we feel blessed and are looking forward to some awesome times with the family for Christmas and New Years.
